When it is completed this will be a series of songs that musically documents
the attempt of Cubans to reach freedom in the U.S.A. I was inspired to write
this series by a very close friend of mine (who I also do some writing with)
who told me about 2 of his friends who, while trying to get to freedom,
died on a raft that was made out of innertubes somewhere between Cuba and the
U.S.A. No bodies were ever recovered.
You may be wondering, then, why this song is called Arrival. I decided to
give my story a somewhat happier ending. I hope you enjoy these 2 pieces,
and if you have any comments, i.e. constructive criticism, perhaps a complete
critique? Please let me know.
Both of these pieces were composed on a Roland SCC-1 Sound board with the
aid of Jeff Cazel's Ludwig! (Sound Canvas Patch Editor for Windows) and Dan
McKees WinJammer (Windows based MIDI sequencer).

  Again, Thanx for listening,
